Built in our Wood Buddies shop at the request of the son and daughter-in-law of my wood buddy. The unit had to have certain dimensions and a set number of drawers. They requested we design it so in the future it could be used as a dresser with a mirror.

The last picture shows how we attached the changing mattress frame to the dresser.

That’s a really fine looking piece. It’s sure to get a lot of use. What is the finish? It has a real cherry look to it that I like very much.

Thanks LJ BurlyBob:

Alder with MinWax Red Mahogany #225 applied over conditioner. After staining a vinyl lacquer washcoat then glaze for accent. Finally 3 coats of vinyl sealer sanded between coats. Finish protected by SC Johnson fine wood paste wax.

Drawer sides, back and interior 2 coats clear vinyl sealer.

Nice looking piece. The design aspect of being able to remove the table later and add a mirror is great!!

Very nice work. My wife and I were just discussing this issue yesterday for our impending arrival’s needs, great timing sir.
