Five friends and I get together for drinks everytime someone’s birthday rolls around. This group has been together for 30 years or more. One of the girls will usually buy a couple of boxes of See’s candy for everyone to enjoy during the evenings fun and the birthday person takes home the remainder.
When I saw Andy’s Candy Box I knew it would be the perfect gift to one of the gals who just turned 60.
The box is made of curly maple with accents in cocobole, walnut, and ebony. Thanks to Andy for the design and tutlage and quick response when I needed to know how he made the hinge pins.

You did an excellent job on your box. Your friend will most certainly treasure it forever.. (fill it up with some chocolates when you give it to her).

I think it’s cool. Also cool that someone gets credit for the inspiration to the point where a box-style is named for them.

Thanks for all the great feedback and to Andy in particular…I’m glad YOU approved. I did put a box of chocolates in the box before giving it to my friend and it was loved by everyone…and you all know, thats what we strive for.

Great looking box.
I’ve had a few of Sea’s candies that a friend brought from the west coast to the east coast.
