This is just one of a couple of different ways in which i make the toneboards and such on my duck calls.

This is a glued up one piece type thus making it an “Arkansas style” (all one piece insert) whereby the toneboard isn’t removable.

The Louisiana style is somewhat different as the toneboard is removable from the insert (the maple colored one in this photo)

The barrel of the call is Padauk and the insert is Spalted Maple and Bocote.

Nice looking calls. Something I have always wanted to try but have yet to give it a shot.

Nice duck calls and excellent work. You won’t be able to keep the ducks away.
