This was built over the weekend, sort of a rush job, she needs it finished by the end of this week, so I was a bit busy…Built of Pine and used the Kreg Jig for all of the joints. Will finish it with a varnish this week.

Very nice project. What color will you varnish it – if any color?

Very nice job.

I particularly like the slats in the back. Did you cut those out with a band saw or jig saw or did you eat out the waste with a dado blade. If it were me, I think I would use a dado blade.

I’m impressed that you did this in a weekend. On the other hand, pocket hole joints are fast. I doubt that you could have done this in a weekend with M&T joinery. I know I couldn’t.

RICHGREER…THANK YOU FOR THE COMMENTS…..
I DONT HAVE A DADO SET THAT WILL TURN ON MY SMALL TABLE SAW SO I HAD TO CUT THESE WITH A REGULAR BLADE ON THE SAW..
YEA, THE KREG JIG PRETTY MUCH ELIMINATES DRYING TIME THAT OCCURS DURING CLAMPING..MAKES LIFE A LITTLE BIT BETTER..

Alvarez:

Very nice Bench. “Classic” Design is very appealing. Thanks for the “Step By Step” photos, adds a lot to the Posting of the “Project”.

Thank you Rick, appreciate the comments….
Schloemoe, I designed the bench myself as I do for all my benches.
The design on the back piece is a common look here in the Southwest along with the dentils….
Thank you for the kind words…
