I made this spice cabinet and my wife’s spoon display cabinet about 7 or 8 years ago. The spice cabinet has 6 shelves and I used piano hinge for anticipated heavy use. The spoon display case has a pivoting frame-less glass door (safety glass) and displays 28 spoons. They are held in place by means of elastic string that is one piece and looped in and out from the back side.
These pieces are a part of the kitchen.
It is made of red oak and the stain is natural and the finish is sprayed gloss lacquer.
God bless
P.S. 1 slot left on the spoon display. I guess I (Will ) be making another one soon.

Real nice work, Gene. I think you uploaded two of the last photo and missed the spoon cabinet.

Pretty cabinet. Looking forward to seeing the spoon cabinet or perhaps the inside of this one. You could post the spoon cabinet as it’s own project.
