You are looking at a double reed lousiana style duck call with a two piece barrel, the centermost portion being a piece of Maple.
The insert is a piece of Purpleheart thus really making this unique enough i thought i would share it with you guys.

These are nice looking. I am not sure what goes into making a duck call. Is there something like a reed in there or do these work more like a horn mouthpiece?
