Redwood Bud Vases

Two of my brothers recently tore down the old house we grew up in. It was built in 1946. And like a lot of old houses it was added onto over the years. I rescued a couple of the old 4×4 redwood columns that held up the roof over the porch.

I turned these 12 bud vases from the columns. I am going to give them to my brothers, sister and my mother as keepsakes.

They are about 9 inches high, more or less. And some of them have a small nail hole or two in them.

Wow. Those caught my eye immediately, they look great. And a great way for everyone to have some keepsakes.
