Jewelry Box with Rockler Quadrant hinges. Of course I needed to make a keying jig and a hinge routing jig all of which took longer than making the actual box. Finished wiith Lacquer and paste wax

This is a beautiful box and has a lot of nice details and craftsmanship. Congratulations and welcome to Lumberjocks.

Pretty nice keepsake box there Mike … I really like the way you arranged the contrasting woods, and the raised lid is a touch of class.

Thanks Grumpymike. The wood was recycled from old cherry cabinets and a maple hand rail that were being thrown out on a jobsite and were given to me by a friend. All I hd to invest were a lot of hours, a pair of quadrant hinges, spray lacquer, paste wax, and some good old fashioned elbow grease (not found in the lcal box stores) :)
