My wife calls this project a Cookie Jar. I love it. This is the first project that I have ever made that has a “feature ring”. It was surprisingly easy. The key is to take your time. The feature ring took me more time to layout and cut than the rest of the project did all together. The wood is cherry, purple heart, and maple. The jar is 7 inches is diameter and about 7 inches tall. This was really fun and I think that I am going to start doing more feature rings.

-- It may not be pretty...but it's functional.
