My first real piece of furniture…I designed and built this for a friend of mine for his wave radio. Whaddya all think? All oak, plywood and boards.
Thanks for the input. i don’t think the pics are so good though.

Very nicely done.

What did you use for the door panels? Was it difficult to work with?

Skee, I used 1×2 and 1×4’s butt jointed with 2 screws in top and bottom. The glass is called hammered, it’s about 1/8”. I “glued” it to the back of the door and used clips to make sure it stays.

Woodnuts, I would have accounted for the hinge overhang. The doors sit about an 1/8” past the front. live and learn. I also need to figure out hinge placement, it was a bear for me as the sides were not 100% plumb

Dawg. it’s not my real first piece just my first real piece of furniture quality. I have lots o stuff but none this nice.
