My fiancée wanted a shelf but also wanted to be able to hide certain items in it. While shopping for wood she found this beautiful piece of cedar. Being as I’m just getting back into woodworking this was a challenge for me. I decided on a very simple magnetic lock and used a satin poly for the finish.

One of my favorite woods put to a very good use.

Looks great—Hides the 12 gauge short gun well too!

Great Job!
