Having made a couple for both my parents I know how difficult it is. Like a dummy I never even looked for plans, I just had the dimension of the plastic ash holder and built boxes around it. Yours is very nice and does your FIL proud.

Exactly what I did, except we had a cardboard container from the funeral home. I’m told the ashes are in a vacuum sealed plastic bag. I never peeked inside. I just built it to hold the cardboard box!
