Cherry top dining table made from (again) leftovers from a staircase build. 6/4 planned down to 1-3/16” with 2 extensions that hide in an undercarriage (don’t want to search them when I need them!). Closed dimensions are 42” long x 60” wide up to 84” x 30” high. The legs (unknown wood species but behaves like Meranti) are reclaimed from another table that was defective. They were stripped down, stained and varnished. Oil-varnish finish was applied on the top (4 coats) and 3 more coats of catalyzed lacquer. One of my first projects, made with the help of Senomozi ( http://lumberjocks.com/senomozi ).
