What you do between glue ups and drying time?
Another Fidget Spinner :) !!!!

I made that Batman emblem shape fidget spinner the other day and it’s so fun to play with during waiting time, so I wanted to try also the triangular configuration and made this one here with what I had available, using one bearing 22mm OD / 8mm ID (have no clue what is the number for it) and three 8mm rounded head bolts with nuts and the other half of that furniture fastener with a nut. A little bit heavy in the hand but it’s OK!!!

What I found is that it spins very nicely, faster and with less wobble than the Batman one (2 counter weights) which I like allot but I did make that one a bit longer than it should, around 7cm length is a good size I believe.

I got myself in a bit of trouble here playing around, because everyone wants one and the truth is that is cheaper to buy the commercial ones HAHAHA :)

Thanks for visiting

Cool, now I really have to look up what a spinner is, when not for fishing. ;-)
Looks like fun building.

Before of you Stelios and Klaus posted these fidget spinners here on LJ’s I had no idea what they were. Seems I’m always learning something new here on LJ’s!

I read up on them and found that it’s the latest craze with the kids. I know I’ll be making a few soon but in the mean time I ordered two to send to our 8 year old granddaughters because I found out they didn’t have one yet. We live 500 miles apart or they would be in my shop with Grampy helping me make them!
Thanks for shearing the info on how to make these! :)

I made one a while back, just for something easy to so and now it sits on a stand beside a chair in the living room. Visitors just can not resist. It always get picked up and played with.

I have to agree, they look pretty fancy to be cheaper than store bought, but well worth the effort. Nicely done.
