Been a while since I added a project…the end of the high school basketball season in February (I coach) allowed me to slip back into the shop a little. This box was for my brother-in-law’s college graduation. He went to Florida State, so I tried to make it as close to their colors as possible. This was extremely difficult since I am a die-hard Florida Gator fan. Pretty straight forward project with a couple of inlay strips added on both the top and bottom of the box.

Very impressive box ! Great looking design and craftsmanship. The different types of construction features in this piece are well done and blend together seamlessly. Purpleheart and maple are always a classic combo and lends itself to great contrast. I Always enjoy seeing the countless styles and designs of small boxes on L J’s and Yours is no exception !!
