Thanks to RJ’s post on his pen boxes I dcided to make a few for gifts at the wedding we are going too. Good thing I am not trying to make these for profit; based up the time it took, i would have to charge about a $1000 just for the box. Oh well they did turn out very nice. Again, this is RJ’s design not mine. I used Tiger Maple for the center and each side matched the pen’s wood.

Very nice, I happen to be a proud recipient of one of Rj’s pen boxes that he gave me as a gift. It is very nice, done in buckeye burl. I’m sure that who ever you give them to will be thrilled to have one. Great job.

Thanks for all you comments the following are my answers to your questions.
Scotsman—I didn’t say I was going to sell these for $1000 I said that would be the price if you considered how much time it took me to make these.
Bigike—I used General Finish wipe on poly. The buffed out using my beal buffing system.
Ryan Shervill—I do not know of any “how to” post. RJ would be the guy to do such a post this is his design, not mine. I just looked at his picture and mace one similar.
Have your say...
