Seen a camper sign at a home show. It was a painted one, so I decided to try and carve one. This is what I came up with. I thought I might add another hanging sign with our name and town. It is my first carving of this kind and found I need some better carving tools.

Nice work. I’ve never heard of a “camper sign”. What is it used for?

It is to hang on the camper while camping. The tackier the better.

Mike,

Nice job. Could you elaborate on your method of relieving the background? I expect you used a router to get most of it flat and then use hand tools to get up to the edges of the raised parts. Or did you use another method?

Rance: That would have been a better idea. No, I used only hand tools & sand paper.

That’s great! I could not even get close to Your carving. I can only make a mess. :)
