This matches his dresser. It was made to go in this location only. It is free standing. I made it to fit over the heat register and also extend a hidden electrical outlet. I used European hinges for ease of use.
Fluted corners and semi recessed door.

Nice looking piece of work.

I have to say,though, I hope you are well-versed in electrical work or consulted someone who is. There are probably several bad ways to do what you did (not saying that you did ‘em of course).

Thanks for all the complements guys and you are correct Charlie, one should consult an electrician before doing this.
While a plumber by trade, I also am also well versed in the residential electrical trade.
As the old saying goes. ( don’t try this at home ) Thanks for bringing that up. I should have.
