Hi,

Another side project. I have a real cool table coming next week.

This is spalted Curley maple with purple heart edge.

Compound bevel of 10.5 degrees. I have a cool chart I can upload if people want to easily set both angles for multidimensional projects.

The shallower angle lets the grain match better side to side. When I have gone 14 degree, you lose a lot of wood and grain consistency.

THANKS
STEVE

Cool – In addition to the chart, I’m interested in a pic of the bottom of the “bowl” as well.

The bottom is floating.

You need to cut a groove at the angle of the bevel pointing to the bottom of the bowl. When you tilt it to glue it up, the groove becomes perfectly horizontal.

Nice job. I like the color combination.
