sorry i’ve been away so long – things have been very busy. There are a few projects in the pipeline, but not much is finished yet to post on here. soon!

Here is my first attempt at a 3d end grain board inspired by mtmwoods. it’s about 9×9x1 1/2. Cherry, maple and walnut. Milled the strips to 1/2” thick, then lots of glueing and clamping and planing and sanding and glueing and clamping and planing and sanding and sanding and sanding and sanding and routing and sanding and oiling.

these things are a lot trickier than I thought, but the end result is really worthwhile. This turned out well and its twin is in the clamps as I type this.

Getting lots of comments about how M.C. Esher-ish this looks.

Great fun to make and I hope, if you’re into cutting boards, you try this one, too.
