Had a piece of veneered Zebra wood and with my wife asking to make a table for the hallway, I thought this would make a nice top. I used maple as the trim and legs ( whiuch i flared at the bottom for a chinese look) and used a deep browm gel stain. -- Nick , North Carolina " If we trust in GOD he will never put us in a place where his graces will not protect us "

I like that Zebrawood veneer!
What sort of joinery did you use here? Pocketholes, biscuits, M & T, dowels, etc.?
Did you put anything over the stain as a protective topcoat, or just use stain?

I usewd pocket holes and they worked great. Stilldeciding on the final finish. Open to ideas.

I really like the Zebra wood to. I haven’t ever seen something built using it that size before.

Very nice! When I read the description I thought the zebra wood might be a little overbearing, but you’ve done a beautiful job with it. Excellent piece—great work!
