This was a lot of fun.
Finally got to use some coloured wood (Spectra Ply) to get this result.
There are 22 rings plus the base piece of jarrah, and these were cut from the “Bowl from a board” basis.
Timbers used are;-
Spectraply, Jarrah, Yellow walnut, Padauk, Ebony, Radiata Pine, Tasmanian Oak, and Maple veneer.
The piece measures 8.75inches dia and 7.25in tall.
It is sanded to 400 grit and sprayed with clear varnish Rattle can.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like it.
C & C welcome as usual.

Bob.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Looking at this just made my headache into a dizzy one. LOL. Excellent work Bob. Great job with the Spectra Ply. I always wanted to give that stuff a try.

Sorry Bob but it does not make me dizzy but rather reminds me of a Spanish dancers dress swirling except it would be upside down.
Beautiful design !

Well Bob, you have certainly produced a spectular result from the work.
The images are great (include all the other LJs comments above too)

I have never been able to find a supplier in Brisbane for the ply.
I think I began looking for the ply when PASs posted a pizza cutter. back in May 2014.
