Been really motivated to get alot of the simple basic stuff done the last couple of days…got up at 4am to before church and got busy with some spare MDF and made a table and mobile base…had some extra wheels out in the pole barn but had to stop at TSC for some 5/16 hardware…one more base to make for the ban saw which is sitting on a temporary make shift mobile base

Actually Im planning to put a clamp on each side as soon as I can make it to woodcraft store

Great idea and build. Any chance you have more pictures of your build?

Silvio, that is a nice mobile base and table for your drill press. Congratulations and welcome to Lumberjocks.

Silvio, I’ve got that same drill press. I’ve got the “makins” for a table but have yet to find time to build it. How did you secure it to the existing table? Can you post some photos of that.

The Table Base is 11” wide X 20 1/4 – so I added 3 1/4 inches to the width of the base since I used 2×4s on the side to glue and screw the MDF on the bottom and base. Depending on the size of the wheels you use will determine the overhang width for swivel clearance of the wheel. Once I assembled the mobile base together I turned it upside down and marked the wheels exactly so the front wheels would be able to spin freely.
The Table Top dimension is 31×16 I had some Formica for the first MDF top

Layer and then glued and screwed second layer. The 3rd layer opening is 13 5/16 X 13 1/4 which makes the drill press table fit almost snuggle tobthe new top…
