This is a Poplar and Mahogany bowl. It is a piece that I am very proud of. I left it on display at work and it was dropped so there is a chip in it at the moment. ( insert sad face here )It will have to go back on the Lathe to be removed. The markets start up up soon so it needs to be fixed and i might make a few similar ones.

First time viewing your projects….to say you have an eye for creating beautiful and unique turnings would be an understatement! Really enjoy your work!

Lupo,

Wow, that is classy! Great work. Good luck with the repair and I hope you’re able to make a few similar ones in time for the market.

How big is this bowl?

Lupo, It looks very nice bowl and you have good name for this project, but, for sincerely judgement, you can make it better next time. The rays do not meet properly in the centre. I mean, if you put this one in a competiton, the judges will react negative for such things you may think it is un-notceable.

Don’t you just hate it when something like that happens to one of your projects- even worse when you do it your self.

Nice shape to the bowl.

Great bowl. I like that the inside rays are off set to the center of the outer rays. Great job. Your work is stunning as usual.

Keep it up.

Lew, if you mean my comment, of course I do. AND I will be thankfull if someone draw my attention to it, so I dont repeat the same mistake. I DONT MIND CRITICISM AT ALL.

Sam I always accept the Comments! You are Right I could have done it better! I believe Lew is speaking about the Bowl being Chipped when I left it at work.

It is 8” in diameter~!

Have your say...
