Thanks, Tony

Was mowing this morning and saw a couple looking for a place to “nest”.

Thank you Tony for this post as I’d not heard of Carpenter Bees and as such have done a small amount of reading of the internet about them.

They work well, made several for my Dad awhile back. Has had to empty several times and replace a piece or two from them eating through it.

Considering the pollinating role they play in the garden makes one wonder why you would trap them

repaired a house last year where a pileated woodpecker had destroyed a front door trying to get at a nest of them. They were angry with the bird. He was trying to do them a favor.

-- nice recovery, They should pay extra for that mistake, Eric E.

Woodpeckers ?...The only woodpecker I know of is a cartoon character called Woody Woodpecker.

All he did was made a knocking sound and a hilarious laugh!! ....nothing destructive from memory.
