Youngest son and his beautiful wife joined the world of “hot tubbing”. They didn’t buy the steps to enter and exit…they thought (dad could build them), easy for them to say. I took a few measurements, studied a bit, and then skillfully copied the design of the steps i bought. Here is what I came up with. I had fun and makes me feel needed….
Some left over treated lumber
a few (no..a bunch of screws)
A little exterior glue and
WALA…

Now you need something to drink and go enjoy the tub yourself!

The steps look great, I never saw it build that way but that makes them better for me. I bet they are pretty heavy. So where are the cocktails and towels. Nice job.
I remember the first deck I sold and built. It had a spiral stair case, 3 or 4 steps, damned thing was a challenge. the next deck I had to build was a 2nd story deck, but that is another story in stair building <laugh>

Hey snowdog!
You caught me, the only way I could ever build steps is to put them together as I go like i did these, and yes, they are very heavy…(I built them to hold me). To do that they have to be heavy duty..

Great job on a difficult task. I have never built steps before, but I understand they are a challenge.

LOL…I sat looking at this piece a couple of times wondering why I havn’t made the few sets of stairs in my shop where all my tools are. I always build them in place with sawhorses and alot of swearing. Nice job!

Great, you turned a take for granted piece, and turned it into a point of interest. I will take with me, to look at everything as important. Thanks
