This is a captain’s bed that was completed in April 2010. It has a different color scheme then I normally do. It is a medium sheen black with natural oak accents. The black on the open grain oak is one of my favorate finishes. I love the textures that it achieves.

This bed needed to finish out at a specific height, so a 14” drawer pedestal was built for it.

I also built a 5 drawer chest to match. I send the pictures to the customer and there were very excited. Here is what they wrote: “Dear Chris, My wife and I just looked at the pictures you sent and the bed and dresser is even nicer than we imagined! Our grandson also saw the pictures and he was excited that the bed and dresser are for him… We thank you and your staff for the excellent job! Just to let you know, being able to access your work in progress on-line was a real treat! Sincerely, Bob & Marilyn”

I’m sure that feedback from the customer really made you feel good about your work. Well done!

These look great! I like the lighting in the headboard.
