How Fun! Just yesterday some friends and I were discussing all the cool furniture that was made from the empty whiskey barrels from the old distillery that used to be down river from us. I think the most interesting project was a whiskey barrel that was converted into a liquor cabinet. It had a hinged door on the front, a lazy susan inside that provided a turnstile for whiskey bottles of course.. and a place for glasses. :)

Nice barrel chair. I made a bunch of barrel furniture back in the late 1960’s when they were popular. I would get alot of free oak barrels from a company that imported olives from Italy in them before they switched to plastic drums.Alot can be made from barrels.
