A good friend started this project found out he was moving and give me the plans and the pressure treated lumber to start it was originally Norm’s plans I am working from as the rain started today :(
this is the main reason I did not finish the assembly. With projects I like to think of every step as a mini project then the overall project gets completed without me getting overwhelmed next is setting this upright and building a gate to match. Also visible in the first picture is one of my Adirondack chairs and the shop dog, Pooh

Thanks guys,

I did not form the arch it was already formed, but let me explain to you how it’s done, its quite simple I may add.

The rough bland is made from three pieces of 4×6” mitered at 67.5 degrees for you compound mitersaw fanatics just subtract 67.5 from 90 and reverse your mitersaw to do the cuts, Next make a template of the radius on the plan and lay this over the template and trace.
This gives you how to do the arc simplified also the three blank pieces are splined together to hold for strength the top piece is made from dadoes cut cross ways and shaped to final form on the bandsaw prior to assembly thanks for your interest
