I enjoy making these and this pattern was designed by wife. They always sell so I decided to make a couple more for an upcoming show in May. (Just photographed the one) Nothing more than inexpensive pine laminated into a blank. The “tree/limbs” part is stained to bring out the contrast. The handles or pulls I made form another bandsaw box leftover drawer cavity from my overflowing scrap box. I used a plug cutter on the drill press then separated them on the band saw. The drawers are flocked with wine colored flock and the pull tips are purpleheart, matched pretty nicely. ALWAYS lots of sanding on these !

It is 5 1/2”H x 8”L x 4 1/2”D. Sanded to 320 and finished with 4 coats Minwax wipe-on poly with a light 400 grit sanding in between coats.

Thanks for looking.

This is fantastic. I really like your wife’s design and your wood combos. Super nice.

That’s nice work and very creative.

Love it! I really appreciate and admire work that transforms humble wood into beautiful treasures.

The variety of those shapes is just beautiful. Good idea with tree shape.

Awesome looking box! Nothing wrong with pine when you make it look this good!
