Yet another use for the scraps and offcuts that otherwise lie underfoot. It was difficult to follow the rocking motorcycle but little grandson Sam didn’t complain. The pattern for this one came free from a website.

Let me guess who the bald guy is on the bulldozer! This is real nice and I bet your grandson loved it!

You are a fine Grandfather, Stewart. Nice. I was afraid before I read the text you made him another rider…

Very nice toys you have built Mr. Stewart. The little ones will love them and hopefully pass them down to their young ones some day. mike

Mmmm.. two mentions of the word ‘bald’ Am I being got at? ‘tis just a trick of the light in my portrait! On the subject of toys; when little 3 year-old Sam visited us a couple of months ago, I quickly cut up some 6” lengths of 3” x 2” pine and sanded them smooth & rounded the corners. They kept him occupied all day and he went off home clutching a bag full. He came on the phone yesterday asking: “Any more blocks granddad?” Now there’s a cheap and easy gift!
