One day we bought a TV and I attached it to the wall with TV support. It looked plain, boring and all cables hanging from the TV were messy. I decided to build a corner cabinet. Once I did bottom, top portion appeared odd, hence the shelves. My wife daughter and friends found it elegant and our breakfast room became cozier. Well, decide for yourself.
3/4” red oak plywood from HD, edge veneered. Water based poly.

I have a similar situation at home and would love to do something like this except to the left of the TV I have a stone wall and the rock protrude a lot. I have done one shelf above but I totally agree with you that it look plain having the TV float in the corner alone.

For such situations there is no premade furniture, even in Ikea ;-)
That’s how I started in woodworking , because you can not buy suitable item.
Have your say...
