This was a pretty easy build, that is why it only took me 6 months. When I did have time, it was too cold in the shop to do much. I made it so that it would hold 5 rolls in the outhouse, but if I were to do it again, it would only hold 4. I think slightly shorter would have been better. I routed lines in the sides to make it look more realistic. The base is to help stabilize it when the paper gets pulled on. I will give it to my son as he has a bathroom that does not have a TP holder. Look at it from a distance so that you don’t see all the mistakes.

They have many name from Outback Dunny, Long Drop, Thunder Box downunder but none ever had a toilet roll storage & dispenser as fancy as yours sir…
If fact some of the old roadside dunnies of the 1960’s would have an old magazine on a nail for you to use….
The one we had as a kid was a very fancy fiberglass unit BUT “Captain Midnight” still managed to spill some of the content of the pan or spread the sawdust all throughout…
