I went to the local teakshop. They sell all kind of teak furniture.
And asked if the had some pieces left of furniture that was unusable.
And look were he came with.
A piece of a tabletop and some other pieces.
And this is all for free…..
That’s why I am so lucky!!!!

And they call me cheap! Good idea to save good wood from the dumpster and landfill. There is a store that has imported furniture made from mahogany, teak, etc. Will have to pay them a visit to see what they have in the unusable department. Thanks for the idea. My wife now knows why I slow down and look at stuff sitting curbside.

Only way to go is free!
Theres free wood all around you if you take the time to look for it!
I get free stuff from cabinet shops and shutter manufactures job sites etc.
At the worst they will say no but 90% of the time i find they are glad to
get rid of it and its not going to waste. If anything you will make a new friend
and maybe they will know of a place you can get free or cheap wood!

That’s why I allways look around me.
And if I see something I go there and ask.

Nice one. I find dumpster diving, where offices or houses are being being built or refurbished, is also good. In 1989 I was working opposite Buckingham Palace, in London and picked up a nice piece of Oak from one, not 500 yards from the palace gates!
