This is a locking bookcase that was built in April 2010 . It is used to store wine bottles. I built it for a customer I’m also building a Murphy bed for. I’ll post that project next. This is made using maple wood and the finish is just a clear coat.

The upper section was built by a type of half-lap connection. I cut slightly more than half way and ¾” wide. I made a jig so that the cuts would be straight and precise. The lower sections have a pull out shelf. The customer wanted to lock the cabinet. I bought a lock and cut the catch using a biscuit jointer.
