Fidget Spinner? As a teacher I came across these gadgets at school (Jr high and High school) It was a fad to fall in love with and I did. I made a simple version to test, but as you can see on You Tube, the possibilities are endless. The ideas are flowing in my mind. Also, they don’t require batteries, quiet and kids love something as inexpensive as a paper airplane.
Here is a link to Wiki and check out more on You Tube.

How do you keep the bearings from working their way out of the holes? Are they just pressed in or held with a little glue as well?

I pressed them in, but you can glue them as well- here are some examples from e-bay (not mine)

I first heard of these about a week ago when my grandson asked if we could make a few. Interesting devices

Please make one with him and one from you- In 2 weeks time this is as they would say “bomb”- I have the geometry down – the bearings broken in- the spin time is right up there- PM with your e-mail and I’ll send you a PDF that you can glue and cut out and decorate The youth is our future.
