The $10 HF chisel set never had it so good. After three hours of sharpening and flattening their first job was to help me cut dovetails on their new box.
Made of poplar scraps resawed and planed down to 1/4 inch and 1/4 hardboard. This was my first try at dovetails so i thought start small right? Well it probably would have been easier to start with 3/4 material.
After cutting all the tails and pins they all fit tight so i tried to assemble and…
It wasn’t supposed to look like this! Good thing i made the long sides a little longer than i needed. Had to cut off the pins and try again.
Happy with the way it turned out and now they wont rattle around in the drawer. BTW I just wanted a tool roll but I couldn’t find one and wife doesnt sew.
