My latest turning off the lathe. My version of “David Springett’s Shpere in a cube”. Wood is Sapele, and Spalted Maple. Cube is approximately 3 1/4” sq. And is turned from one piece of wood! Sphere wall is 1/4” thick. Finish is Mahoney walnut oil. Comments and critiques welcomed!

Paul

Awesome! very unique and playful. Is there an insert to make the bottle part waterproof – this would look great with a few flowers in it (dried would be fine but fresh would be even more impressive.). Thanks for sharing.
