Being sick of emptying the dust bag I had to come up with a new idea and this is the result.
I got a 200 litre rubbish bin and cut two holes in the top as far apart as possible,used silicone clear glass adhesive to glue them in. One 4” hose comes from the planer into the bin,the other hose from the bin to the extractor
I sealed around under the lid of the bin with some 2” self adhesive foam.
All the heavy stuff stays in the bin and the fines go the extractor bad which I have to empty every six months.

necessity being the mother of invention…..I became a mother

That’s a really good idea. No more lugging bags of dust around anymore, you can just dump the dust from the bucket now.
