Well, I just completed another box. This is made from walnut with a taste of leopardwood for the handle.
My wife has already put claim to this one.
Making these boxes can be addictive. It is a good thing to be able to finally find a use for the large number of cutoff pieces in my cutoff bin.
It sure creates alot of mess from making these boxes and it takes more time to hand sand them since nothing can be machine sanded…but then again I guess that is why it can be somewhat called handmade.

Very nice. The transitions of all the different profiles has a nice flow to it.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. It has been a good learning process in shaping and doing something different. During each step I realize alot of areas where I can hopefully improve the next one and expand the designs with drawers, dividers etc.

Such wonderful “touchable” shapes and textures.
I don’t blame your wife for claiming this one for her own. It’s a beauty.
Have your say...
