This is not quite finished yet,it’s been a labour of love.
I have posted a story of how it was done.

That’s a nice shape! I really want to get into building electric guitars some day. I have an Epiphone SG that i tore down to attempt to study it, but that project has been put on the back burner. I didn’t know much woodworking or guitar making at the time I tore it down and was disappointed when I found out it was just plywood.

I can’t wait to see this thing finished!

I’d love to try making a bass sometime, but until I retire, it would probably be another of my multi-year projects.

This axe looks like it will turn out very nicely. I’m looking forward to more pictures as the project moves forward.

John Steffen: Whoa, your SG is PLYWOOD? I didn’t know anyone used plywood for guitars—I’m really surprised Epiphone would. When did you get it?

Booge: Wow, I LOVE that shape! Is it your first guitar build? If so, you have serious cajones to be doing your own neck. Did you make the neck blank yourself? I’d like to do a through-neck some time, but it’s hard to find blanks or fretted through-necks online (for cheap; I’m sure stewmac would have ‘em). Anyway, the shape, the stripe, the headstock shape…just gorgeous. Nice!
