A simple stand that is 13×40 x 7 walnut. I was lucky to find a 13 inch wide board for this project. I love to make something where the grain pops! The sliding dovetail was easy to do, it was getting it exactly align in the top and bottom that was tricky. Since the top overlaps and the bottom butts the legs, I had to be careful to find the centers of each. I used two different routers to cut the dovetail, one with a straight bit to clear out most of the wood and one with the dovetail bit. Of course both of the routers had different size bases so I had to make two jigs to align the cutter for each side. A lot of time setting up each jig.

Nice job Tom! That is a pretty piece of Walnut. I like the tapered legs too.
