For a long time I want to make Greene and Greene sofa table. Of course I like Darrel Pearts Aurora Sofa Table and two monthes ago decided to make it. I wanted also to add some inlay elements. Brass elements was made some years ago for the Greene and Greene bed project , but many brass pieces remained for the new projects. Brass inlay was made on the legs. Last year my daughter rested on the Philippines and bringed for me mother-of-pearl. I used silver and mother-of-pearl inlay for the top. Shelf veneering bubinga. Sapele and bibolo was used for this project. Some monthes ago I bought square hole punches http://www.leevalley.com/us/Wood/page.aspx?p=65380&cat=1,41504,41541&ap=1 and now to make square holes became very easy and precisely.
The finishing oil and beeswax.
