I wanted to display the sign that s on my Dad’s Motorola radio repair shop. The sign is probably over 70s old it so. He worked there before WWII, and ended up owning it in the 70s. I worked there in high school. I had looked at metal brackets, but thought it just spent look good enough. I build the shelf from two 2×8x8 board and cut the brackets from some extra Wood I had. ( There are no scraps in my shop, just unused pieces fit another project). I glued and screwed together and painted it white. I used lag screws to attach it to the wall studs. It was a quick way to get the sign up to display. I thinks it looks pretty good up there in the garage.

Nice job Jim. It caught my eye because my dad owned an electronics company back in the 60s – 80s timeframe (Parson’s Electronics) back in Missouri (St. Charles area). And then I saw you were in Missouri. Small world. I love the old signs like this that are electronics related, reminds me of my childhood.

Thanks. The sign was actually in the same building. I was able to get it in a roundabout way from the current owner. It is a nice reminder of my younger days.
