Our mother was a very devote woman of faith. After she passed away one of my brothers was given her personal bible which he treasures very much. He sought out a local woodworker who does mostly cedar projects to make him a box. After about a year the box basicly fell apart. I was asked to make him one and this is it. It meant much for me to make it for him just because of what it is to contain and protect. Thanks for looking.

I am sure she’d be proud to know her bible was in such a beautiful box!

Great job Donnie! It looks like the woodworker your brother should have went to first was you, or were you not woodworking yet? My local Woodcrafters has some great Tennessee Cedar that I have just recently used for the first time. It looks like this might be Tennessee Cedar? Any rate, this is a beautiful box and I’m sure it will be cherished for years to come. Thanks for posting.

Nice job on the bible box. I am thinking about making one for my mother in law she is 96 years old and confined to a nursing home. She is vary religous.
