I got this NIP blank a few years ago and turned it green. When it had dried there were lots of cracks through the limb knots and a big split across the middle.
So I cut it in half and fitted in the spacer Patched all the cracks and now it is all done.
The Bowl is 9.5in x 3.5in and is sanded to 400 and sprayed with Rattle can “Birch” clear varnish. I quite like the finish.
The clock is from Eucalyptus vasticola Burl, and is sanded to 600 and sprayed as above.
The clock is 8in x 6.5in.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like them.
C & C welcome.
-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
