Rabbeted Box with Scrolled design Mahogany

To hide the stuff from seeing it in through the scroll work, We laminated a piece of maple veneer behind it. Solid Mahogany top and bottom. Mitered corners for the bottom trim.

Great scrolling and I really like the underlay on the scrolled work. Nice corners as well

Out standing box, first one I have seen done like this, I think the idea is great. Students often go beyond imagination.
That box is certainly well clamped. Someone recently posted a box clamping jig that looked like it would work really great. Might look into that.

Love the scroll work. Some very fine detail there.
