I made this This is a gift I made for my cousin Josh’s girlfriend, Temri. She wanted a wall hanger that ”...no colors, no stain, to say their names with ‘est.’16/California’, and patriotic”.
The eagle is my favorite part. I carved it with a dremel, out of Douglas Fir. There is a slight ‘wave’ in the flag. I used a 1/4” rasp bit on a throttled dremel shaft. The stars, themselves, I picked up from Hobby Lobby. I simply drilled a hole through the center of them, pressed a dowel until flush, in to it and then did the same with the flag. The glue-up I made for the flag is pine and redwood.
