Cedar fish

Took a cedar down on the property and just decided to mess around and see what i could come up with. This is the second one i made. The first ones body was too straight and I wanted to add a S shape to make it seem like it was swimming.

I like him, but it looks a little lumpy. Have you ever seen a real fish??
Just kidding—nice job! I’d like to try carving sometime.

I really like that it is rougher outline of a fish without a lot of defined details. I can easily picture this piece sitting on a coffee table at a furniture showroom in one of those mock rooms. I haven’t carved in a while, but this makes me want to dig my stuff back out.
