My son wanted a simple country style table to fit a specific size room. I think it looks great and he says it fits the bill.

Very nice table. Great finish on the top and I like that you did a taper on the insides of the legs. It makes it look much more balanced.

That table looks great with those ‘drug store chairs.’ You did a great job on that table. It turned out beautifully.

I don’t know if those chairs are originals but they look like they are. When I was a boy we had some of those old chairs and they came out of the old drug store in our town. It was an old store that came into being at least by 1900. They were used around the tables that were in front of the old soda fountain. We always just called them ‘drug store chairs.’ I don’t know what other people called them.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

dmbrenneman – The table is made from 5/4 poplar. The legs and skirts are just painted. The top was stained with a Minwax stain and then 4 coats of a poly for the top coat.
